Born 1983 in Mexico City.

Julieta Aguinaco’s work has been presented in various institutions around the world including the Kunsthal Charlottenborg in Copenhagen, Summerhall Exhibitions in Edinburgh, MUNAL -Museo Nacional de Arte- and Museo Experimental “El Eco” both in Mexico City. In 2014 she participated in the third Land Art Biennial LAM 360° in Mongolia and during 2017 she was invited as resident artist to Rabbit Island in USA and Arcus Project in Japan.

She completed her MFA in Art Praxis at the DAI –Dutch Art Institute,  School for Art, Research, Experiment, Roaming, Curating, Performance, Writing, Publishing at ArtEZ – in The Netherlands, holds a BFA from “La Esmeralda” in Mexico, and also studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Arts in Copenhagen. Julieta has twice been recipient of grants by FONCA – the Mexican National Fund for Culture and Arts: Estudios en el extranjero in 2013 and Jóvenes creadores in 2017. From 2016 to 2018 she was part of the fifth generation of the Bancomer-Macg program.
